To our Customers “we are open and ready to serve you”
State and local governments continue to issue “shelter in place” ordinances as well as work and travel restrictions to slow the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Under these orders, “essential services” have been permitted to remain open, such as grocery stores, hardware stores, medical facilities, convenience stores and gas stations. Additionally, businesses that supply essential businesses with the support or supplies necessary to operate, have also been permitted to remain open.
The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has issued federal guidance to states and municipalities regarding “essential” work. Additionally, on March 16th, President Trump stated,
” If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”
Based on the definitions contained in the guidance, the activities conducted by HVACR manufacturing, distribution, installation and service are “essential” and are collectively, a critical infrastructure industry. The continued operation of our business is viewed as “essential” and necessary in order to perform our role in supporting the residential, commercial, and refrigeration end markets. Additionally, The Pennsylvania health department confirmed to Contracting Business by phone that HVAC service and installation is classified as life-sustaining/essential. If you need HVAC or other related services right now please understand that H&H Commercial Service is taking the necessary steps to protect our staff and customers, so please be patient as we all adapt to these rapid changes.
Our technicians and comfort advisors are also practicing “social distancing” by not shaking hands and maintain a reasonable distance from anyone in the home or business. We are interviewing all employees on a daily bases to make sure they or any of their family members are not showing any signs of the virus to include taking their temperatures each day as well. We are also interviewing all clients before dispatching employees to their homes or business if anyone has been tested positive for COVID-19 or showing signs of the virus. We are continuing to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and look for ways to minimize and mitigate its impact to our employees, customers and the entire community. The situation has become especially serious in the regions we service in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey as many of the State’s services have been restricted or closed. Our goal is to protect our employees and their families while maintaining service to our customers during this difficult time. We understand that they rely on us for providing the services used every day and that HVAC is an essential service to the health and wellbeing of our communities. We are doing everything in our power to provide those services during this crisis as we closely monitor the recommendations from our government leaders, the CDC and other healthcare agencies.
Sincerely,
Robert W Glenn, President
